The SUP Nationals event was held in Sayulita, Nayarit this past weekend (May 6-8, 2016) to determine who would be representing Team Mexico at the ISA World SUP & Paddleboard Championship in Fiji this coming November 2016. Below is a slideshow of the photos I took of Friday’s Long Distance SUP & Paddleboard Race. To view them better and/or purchase a copy of any of the photos, please click this link.
I’ve decided to start dividing my photos a little bit more between shortboard surf, longboard surf, and stand up paddle surf photos. This is my first time applying that approach. Here are few Stand Up Paddle photos that I took around the middle of February 2016 in Sayulita. To view some of the surf photos that I took at around the same time, take a look at this post. It’s so nice to be back in Mexico and it feels even better to be taking surf photos again. Here are some random photos that I took in the middle of February 2016, right before the Mexi Log Fest event began. [Show slideshow]
Although I was not able to stay for the entire weekend event, I’m thankful to have been able to attend the first day of Festival del Viento 2015 in Bucerias, Mexico. Here are some of the photos that I was able to capture but you can see plenty more in my Facebook page.
Not long ago, I had the opportunity to attend the Red Bull Crashed Ice event for the first time in Edmonton. If it wasn’t for seeing the sponsored posts from Red Bull about the event on my Facebook feed I’m not sure if I would have made it a priority to attend the event. Honestly,, I had never heard of the event before so I didn’t know what to expect but now that I’ve experienced it, I would definitely go […]
If you ask me how I feel about being in a cold and snowy destination, I will not hesitate to say, very loud and clear, that I HATE IT! With that being said, some nice picture do come from it, especially when there’s frost outside….but that still doesn’t change the fact that I’d much rather be on the beach in a warm , sunny destination, wearing my bikini and sundress instead of my heavy winter coat, scarf, mittens, and boots. […]
This seems like a such simple creature to photograph, but since I’ve been back in Canada, without an iguana to spot in the trees, I’ve become “snap happy” with the squirrels, the Red Squirrel, to be exact. I’ve enjoyed spotting them during walks on the park trails, running to and from and up and down the trees, and even in the backyard of my parents’ house. I don’t always have my camera on me when I spot them, so there’s […]
Before we get too far into the season with all this white stuff on the ground, I wanted to post some photos that I had taken while exploring the Edmonton River Valley area at the end of September. It’s been over 9 years since I’ve been in this city so this was the first opportunity that I had to play “tourist” in a place that I grew up in. [Show slideshow]
On February 1st & 2nd, I had the opportunity to go to Guadalajara to take video for the Cuban salsa festival, Ruedafest. The main event was the dance competition for Rueda de Casino groups and Cuban salsa dance couples. This competition took place at the Gran Salon Corona on Sunday that was full of spectators cheering on the competitors and enjoying the show. For this event, I took the video and edited the videos, adding graphics that I also created. Also available: Part […]
